    Antique Chinese Small Wood Food Box with Metal Decorations.
    This rectangular antique Chinese wood food box has a separate frame and handle for carrying it.
    The actual box has metal corners that act as reinforcement. There are a series of round head fasteners that are spaced along the metal corners that are also decorative.
    The removable wood lid also has the decorative metalwork on the edges.
    The small antique Chinese food carrier sets into a wood frame with a raised handle. At the top of the base of the frame is a molded edge detail. The upright sides of the handle have molded details on the outside and also stepped supports where the handle fastens to the base. The top of the wood handle has a graceful curve. The handle has more decorative metal supports at the corners.
    This food carrier is very decorative piece and is finished in a dark brown lacquer.
