German helmet original find, old war time applied  paint ...not sure but appears to be tropical or desert regions...old and war used. Crack on top from battle with hole, excellent display piece with historic patina. Shipping
Looking closer at the paint it may have colored a more orange/sand tint from the many years. However I can not verify if it is indeed German applied paint, so with that said...the paint does appear to be very old and I have been told by collectors and historians appears to be the real deal. This is up the buyers desecration. These tan applied paints tend to be different shades and with time (almost 80 years) you are bound to have some coloring changes etc. Helmet is solid not a rust bucket.
