    Description

    Up for sale is a very early, 5 1/2 oz 50% full bottle of Guerlain Véritable EDC Impériale! According to our research on this bottle, we estimate that this bottle was made from the late 1800s to early 1900s. This bottle measures approximately:
    6 3/16" tall x 2 13/16" wide x 1 1/2" deep
    The paper label on the front says, "Guerlain Véritable eau de cologne Impériale Distillée par Guerlain Parfumeur Distillateur Breveté - S.G.D.G. New York Distributor" with beautiful design work all around the edges. At the very bottom of the front portion of the bottle there is an applied label that says, "NET - CONTENTS 5 1/2 FL. OZ."
    The back side of this bottle is very decorated. The centered molded decoration includes the following LETTERS & :

    MARQUE DE FABRIQUE
    68 CHAMPS ELYSEES
    PARIS
    DEPOSE
    The bottom of the bottle says, "GUERLAIN 912 ALCOOLOQUE BOTTLE MADE IN FRANCE" The Pochet et du Courval mark is also on the bottom-right side.
    This is the classic Flacon Abeilles (Bees) Bottle and started being used in 1828. This bottle is still being manufactured today. This bottle was used for eau de cologne and eau de toilette scents and it was made by Pochet et du Courval. It was originally created to house 'Eau de Cologne Impériale' for the Empress Eugenie, wife of Napoleon III. Its decorative bees were a symbol of Napoleon and have since become the symbol for the House of Guerlain.
    This bottle has been in a dark perfume refrigerator for the last 20+ years to help protect the scent. It smells
