Extremely rare crystal bottle encased in gilded metal
by Caron
Display / dummy bottle created to promote this rare version of the 1944 Baccarat design
Which, when filled, was intended to hold the exquisite Or Et Noir fragrance de Caron
Two gold figural bees are posed on top of the stopper, the crystal portion of which is numbered "56"
The underside / bottom of the bottle has "DUMMY" scratched into it
The bottle (with top) measures 4" tall x 2 1/2" across x 1" wide
According to the tag attached to the bottle at purchase, this rare item is mentioned in 11/27/99 Phillips Perfume Presentation by the nationally recognized perfume expert Sue Phillips
Condition is good for age, there are a few fleabites on the crystal stopper, there are surface scratches and other imperfections on the body of the bottle, including gilt wear and oxidation spots
