hadn't
seen another example out there until I saw some American Graffiti collectors postings online and apparently there are only two others they know of that exist.
American Graffiti is one of the most iconic movies ever made that defined the pre-Vietnam war generation as well as introduced many of us to our obsession with hot rods and
crusing

This gem was sitting in a box in my garage all these years. I received this Wolfman Jack version poster at the screening prior to the film's release, which explains why it’s so rare and you don’t see it anywhere. I read that t
he
studio decided to use the other version you see everywhere because of a contract dispute with Wolfman Jack, his image
isn't
even on the popular mass produced and copied version, absolutely
incredible since
he was such an important
character, making this poster more significant to a collector or investor.
I just had the poster flattened and professionally linen backed and it looks really great.
Looking at the poster closely you can see t
he poster has the original crease wear from being folded
which I left as-is
because personally I liked that vintage look/patina when
I
saw it. There are pictures of a few of the creases just for reference, they extend
horizontally, please don't expect perfect because this
isn't that. if you purchase it they can be easily addressed by a professional poster restorer if you so wish, it wasn't much cost to do it. There are n
o tape marks or pinholes and it was never hung. I took the pictures the way I did to prevent
counterfeit
because these are apparently as rare as hens teeth, as I mentioned 2 others are known by the collectors I managed to find. No guarantees on this, obviously there could be others but that is the best info that I could
find, of course do your own research to satisfy yourself.
For valuation purposes
I
am willing to work out with the buyer some kind of notarized authentication papers since I am the original owner. Measurements are approximately 23" X 28" with 1 inch over of backing extending all the way around. Will be shipped rolled in a 24' X 4" tube. If you have any questions please contact me.
