    Description
Up for auction is a vintage Caron, La Fete des Roses Perfume Bottle Boxed Presentation.  This fragrance was introduced in 1936 and is a floral fragrance.  It appears from advertisements that this presentation was done in the late 1950’s - early 1960’s.  I believe there were several presentation levels sold for this perfume.  The most extravagant had this bottle design enameled gold.  The next level I am guessing had the gold enameled cap.  And the last level was clear crystal like my bottle.
This bottle comes in its original pink box that has gold polka dots.  (I clearly remember polka dots as a fashion choice in the 1950’s and I read where they represented femininity during this time period).
The condition of the box is fair.  There are a few scuffs and wear on the box.  The lid is slightly concave.  But the interior of the box where the bottle sits is good.  The interior of the box that shows the name is a little soiled.  The pink faux looking underside of the box has a few dirt spots.  But, box has protected the bottle all of these years.
The clear glass bottle has 5 rows of consecutive squares on all sides of the bottle and is in excellent condition.
The underside of the bottle has a little squarish foot on each corner.
The underside of the bottle between the feet appears to be polished
In the center between the feet would go a circular foil label identifying the fragrance name.  It can be easily re-glued to the underside but I wanted the buyer to see the entire underside for photos.  So I will enclose this label, it’s condition is fair.
In the center underside of the bottle is a number signature that I believe reads 155 (if you ever get the bottle opened the same number should be on the end of the bottle stopper.)
The slightly triangular stopper, with the same square design is in excellent condition on the exterior.  On the underside at several corners there appear to be some shallow flea bites/ small chips—see last 3 photos.
The copper neck wiring around the neck and stopper does not appear to have been opened.
Roughly 20% of the fragrance appears to have evaporated.  Due to age, this fragrance is not guaranteed.  But you can always be surprised since this was kept in the box and a dark closet for many years.
I will wrap parafilm around the stopper to ensure it does not leak in its travel to the new buyer
Height of the perfume bottle is about 3 5/8 inches tall
Shipping is free to winning bidder.  If you live in Texas, will need to pay state sales tax.  Email me any questions.  If you like what you see here, please take the time to check out the other vintage items I have up for auction. Thanks!
