Vintage Commercial Lalique Roger et Gallet Powder Box Art Deco Unused

Description

Offered here is a Roger et Gallet powder box, by Rene Lalique et Cie, Wingen-sur-Moder, France for Roger et Gallet, 1920s. The powder is unused.  The box is made from aluminum, unusual for the period. There is a partial outer paper box, but the cardboard has crumbled from age. The aluminum box has a very small crimp on the bottom, but it is hardly noticeable when the box cover is on.  ( please see photo.)  The box retains its original colorful patina.  The rouge powder itself, is unused, covered with a circle of plastic film.  It also has its original unused puff which is rare!  Signed Lalique.  Bottom of powder reads Fleurs d'Amour Poudre Rosee.  Roger & Gallet, Paris.  This was originally considered a modernist design.
