approximately 65 percent full, made in the USA, guaranteed original and authentic (Batch Number: 18940A), Victoria’s Secret Rapture cologne spray in a 1.7-ounce (50ml) size by the ORIGINAL Gryphon Development. Rapture has been reformulated twice. This is the original, classic Rapture fragrance made by Gryphon Development for only ONE YEAR in 1992. It is NOT a reformulation made by Victoria’s Secret Beauty Company.
The heart-shaped, gold-tone casing does have some aging and surface wear. Please see photos.

Gryphon Development LP & The Limited Inc. Corporate History
From 1988 to 1992, Gryphon Development (a producer of bath and personal care products) was headed by Chair and CEO, George Friedman, who worked in joint partnership with The Limited Inc. (now Intimate Brands Inc.) to create fragrances and toiletries for The Limited-owned retailers such as Victoria’s Secret, (previously acquired by The Limited Inc. in 1982), Abercrombie & Fitch and, eventually, Bath and Body Works. In 1992, Friedman sold his stake in Gryphon and The Limited Inc. acquired Gryphon for million; whereby it became a division of The Limited Inc.
Originally launched in 1992, Rapture has been discontinued, reformulated, and relaunched twice. The third discontinuation occurred in 2016 followed by a final reformulation and relaunch in 2018. The original formulation of Rapture is classified as an oriental-spicy scent with top notes of
citruses and orange blossom; middle notes of freesia, jasmine
,
and Bulgarian rose; on
a
base of amber, musk, vanilla and heliotrope.
