Here is a museum quality WWII WAFFEN SS HELMET COVER, made by At The Front with 100% original preMay 1945 camo fabric from a damaged zeltbahn & other scraps, no post war fabric! I purchased the cover from ATF in 2019. The workmanship on this helmet cover is superb, made to original specs, using authentic looking spring clips (in this case, late war steel), correct thread & sewing technique, foliage loops, & original fabric, exactly like the WWII originals. The camo pattern is mid-war Oak Leaf A & Oak Leaf B. These camo patterns are shown in many photos of the Normandy battles, & the Battle of the Bulge! The fabric has a nice original texture & appearance, shows minor wear & age, but still exc. condition, vibrant colors, not fragile. The best repro helmet covers on today’s market do not compare to the authenticity of these ATF covers. Getting very hard to find. Shown on a size 66 helmet shell.
